Grief can reshape our sense of who we are, what we believe and where we belong. It can change friendships, family relationships and connections with those closest to us—sometimes bringing us closer, and sometimes creating a distance we did not expect.
Sometimes people try to understand our loss by comparing it with a different experience. They may mean well, but those comparisons can leave us feeling unheard. Different losses deserve compassion without being treated as the same.
There is no fixed timeline for grief. Each person carries their own history, relationship and feelings. Learning to live with loss does not mean forgetting, and having a difficult day does not erase the steps we have taken.
Here, I share reflections on navigating life changes, exploring our beliefs, building healthy boundaries and understanding how our relationships may change as we change.
My hope is to create a caring circle where, through our losses, we can give one another space to share, reflect and feel heard without judgement. A place to offer kindness, respect our differences and uplift one another as we find our voices. 🌿
